RAMYA VARMA JAGDISH
Founder-Director
Ramya Varma Jagdish - The founder director of Nupura Fine Arts Academy Mumbai, is an exponent of Mohiniyattam and Bharatnatyam. She is the organizer of Nupuradhwani Dance Festival for the promotion of art, in which artists from all over India and abroad participate. She is the recipient of many titles Nritya Ratna, Nritya Shivali Nritya Ankur, etc. She is a graded artist with Doordarshan. She authored a book named Illustrated Reference Book about classical dances. She is the disciple of world renowned Guru Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma. She also learned Bharatnatyam under the tutelage of Natyakalaratnam Guru Kala Vijayan and Guru Sreedevi Rajan. She also got the chance to learn from Dr. Padma Subramanian, Chennai. She has many students training in Mohiniyattam and Bharathanatyam across Mumbai.
